One of the oldest FPS-certified surf and bodyboard schools in Portugal, established in 2005, offering surf, bodyboard, SUP, and physical training programs.
7a Essencia Escola de Surf e Bodyboard is a project dedicated to teaching and promoting aquatic sports, specialising in surf, bodyboard, longboard, and stand up paddle (SUP). Founded in 2005, it is one of the oldest schools accredited by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS).
The school offers structured lessons across multiple levels — initiation, improvement, and advanced — for both surf and bodyboard. SUP classes are available in flat water, open water, and surf initiation formats. A dedicated surf power training program complements on-water instruction.
7a Essencia also operates surf houses in Lisbon and Ericeira for students seeking accommodation during their training. International students are welcome, with instruction available in Portuguese, English, and French.
